The A Team had no game this week. The B Team faced South Redditch Ducks at Home but they forfeit the game as the Ducks couldn’t field enough players.
Instead the club hosted an impromptu, last minute tournament and invited a couple of the Ducks players to take part
17 players signed on. In the Group Phase , Colin Mckinley and Geoff Nokes qualified out of Group 1, Ed McManus and Dean Caswell progressed from Group 2. Cameron Meakin and Kevin Tomlinson got out of Group 3. In Group 4 Chris Pearsall and Dan Cooper made it through to the KO phase joined by Steve Groves and Matt Anthony from Group 5
In the Last 16 Steve Groves bettered Dan Cooper 2-1 and Cgris Pearsall beat Matt Anthony 2-1 too. Everybody else got a bye.
In the first quater-final Steve Groves brushed past Colin McKinley 2-0. Cameron Meakin did the same to Dean Caswell in the 2nd quarter while Ed McManus saw off Kevin Tomlinson 2-0 too in his match. In the final quarter-final Chris Pearsall beat Geoff Nokes 2-0.
In the first semi final Steve Groves despatch Cameron Meakin 209 to setup a best of 5 final against Chris Pearsall who beat Ed McManus 2-0
In the final, Steve won comfortably 3-1
