Both teams returned to action in the BDL thiis week. Lickey End A hosted The Greenlands at home, while Lickey End B were away to Queens Head

For the B team is what a solid start to the night rushing into a 0-4 lead with 0-2 wins from Matt Anthony, Cameron Meakin, Billy Cowsill and Dylan Rowe. In Game 5, despite a string of tons, Dean Caswell lost a close game 2-1 to keep Queens Head’s match alive but Colin McKinley put them to bed in Game 6 with another 0-2 victory. 1-5 going into the doubles.

In Game 7, Matt and Billy made it 2 from 2 with a 0-2 win, Mark Wynn-Smith and Cam had a game in Game 8 winning 1-2 and in the final game, Alvin Holland and Roy Davies secured a great win for the team 0-2. Final score 1-8.

It wasn’t so easy for Lickey A at home to The Greenlands. In Game 1 Geoff Nokes got Lickey off to a winning start 2-0 backed up by Jim Mildner in Game 2 with 2-1 in his game. Ed McManus made it a 3-0 lead winning 2-0 but The Greenlands hit back in game 4 with a 1-2 win against Jason Evans. Steve Groves restored the lead 2-0 in his game and in Game 6 Gaz Troth suffered a rare loss this season 1-2.

In the doubles, Gaz and Steve got Lickey over the line 2-0. In Game 7. Jason took out a 100 finish for a 2-1 win with Ed. In the final match Geoff and Jim lost a close one 1-2. Final score 6-3
