There were no league matches in the BDL this week so our teams played in a private tournament.
15 Players signed on for a group + knockout match format that saw the top 3 players from each group of 5 progress to a winners KO and losers playing a consolation KO phase.
In Group 1, Paul Prince qualified top followed by Mark Wynn-Smith and Ed McManus. In Group 2, Steve Groves took the honours with Geoff Nokes and Dylan Rowe in tow. Jason Evans topped Group 3, qualifying with Cameron Meakin and Matt Anthony
In the Losers KO, Jim Mildner took on Jasper Brunn in the first Quarter-final with Jasper taking it 2-0 to setup a semi-final clash with his dad. In the other Quarter-Final Billy Cowsill beat Dan Prince 2-0 to setup the other semi-final with Dean Caswell.
Jasper and Steve Brunn faced off in the first semi-final but despite some good darts from Jasper, Steve prevailed 2-0. In the other semi, Dean beat Billy 2-0
In the best-of-5 final, Steve gave Dean a game but was undone by his finishing handing Dean the win 3-1
In the main KO, 9 players had qualified which created a number of byes and one round-of-16 match between Dylan and Ed with Dylan throwing great darts to take it 2-0
In the first quarter-final, Cameron faced Dylan who produced more strong darts to take it 2-0. In the 2nd quarter, Paul had darts to despatch Steve 2-0 but wired a double 6 and handed Steve a chance who took it 2-1. Jason Evans brushed Mark Wynn-Smith aside in the third quarter-final 2-0 to setup a semi-final clash with Geoff who beat Matt 2-1 in the last quarter-final.
In the first semi-final Dylan was undone by Steve 2-0 who setup a final clash with Jason who beat Geoff 2-0 in their semi.
The final was Steve back to his best taking it 3-0 from Jason
