Lickey End A & B Darts Teams were back in action this week. The A Team hosted The Crown at home, and the B Team were away to Queens Head

For Lickey A it was another tough night against the cream of the league. In game 1 Geoff Nokes was despatched 0-2 despite hitting a 180. It was a similar story in Game 2. Paul (Rosie) Read lost 0-2, put to the sword by some clinical darts from The Crown. In Game 3, a 164 checkout took leg 1 for The Crown against Jason Evans. He faired better in leg 2 but a 2 dart 70 checkout saw the game out 0-2 again. In Game 4, Russ Tolley stopped the rot with a solid 2-1 win including a 100 away and a 102 checkout. In Game 5, Steve Groves had darts for the win but threw his final dart the wrong side of the wire allowing The Crown in to take out a 96 checkout and the 1-2 win. In Game 6, Gaz Troth hit a nice 90 away and a 140 but couldn’t contain them and lost 0-2 handing the match to The Crown.

Into the doubles and Game 7 saw Jim Mildner and Ed McManus tried to restore some parity in the score but lost 0-2. In Game 8, Paul Prince and Steve should have taken at least leg but lost 0-2. In the final Game, Russ and Rosie did take a leg but lost 1-2 handing The Crown a commanding 1-8 victory.
