The Bromsgrove Darts League Winter Season has hit the midway point and saw Lickey End A & B Teams both in action again this week.

Lickey A faced a very tough match away to Studley Conservative Club, who are fighting it out at the top of Div 1.
In Game 1, Ed McManus should have won leg 1 but Studley eventually got away and took it at the death then saw out the next leg for a 2-0 win. Lickey won Game 2 with a solid 2-1 performance from Geoff Nokes. In Game 3, Paul Read played some good darts with a 100 and 92 but Studley were stronger again taking it 2-0. Jason Evans made it harder for Studley in his match but lost 2-1. Game 5 was a quality affair with Steve Groves facing off against their best player. Both peppered the board with 120 and 88 aways respectively, a 140 each and a 99 from Steve but Studley rallied and took it 2-1. Game 6 sealed the match for Studley with a 2-0 win against Gaz Troth.

Into the doubles, Jim Mildner and Geoff lost 2-0 with Studley hitting a max 160 away. In Game 8 Paul Read and Paul Prince were soundly beaten 2-0 and in the Game 9 Steve and Gaz lost 2-0 too. Final score 8-1.
Lickey End B were home to Golden Lion and was another super close match.

In Game 1, Lion opened their account winning 0-2 against Dylan Rowe. In Game 2, Lickey drew level with a 2-0 win from Craig Jones despite being ill. Matt Anthony took Lickey into the lead with a 2-1 in Game 3, but Lion turned on the gas in the next three games winning them all 0-2 against Roy Davies, Colin McKinley and Alvin Holland respectively racing to a 4-2 lead

Into the doubles, Lion sealed the match in Game 7 beating Dylan and Roy in a close 2-1 affair but Lickey prevailed and proved they were no pushover. Game 8 saw Craig and Colin do Lion 2-0 and in the final game Matt and Alvin did them 2-0 again. Final score 4-5.
