11 Players signed on for another hot Round #4 of the group + knockout match format that saw the top 2 players from each group of 3 & 4 progress to a winners KO and losers playing a consolation KO phase. All earning league ranking points which comprises the best 4 of 5 events over the next few months.
In Group 1, Steve Groves won the group qualifying with Paul Prince. In Group 2, Cameron Meakin topped out taking Colin McKinley with him and in Group 3 which was a group of 3 that played each other twice, Dean Caswell prevailed with Garry Troth not far behind.
In the losers KO, Mark Wynn-Smith, Ed McManus and Jasper Brunn all had byes leaving Dylan Rowe and Teddy Glaze to fight out out the only quarter-final which Dylan won 2-0.
In the first semi, Dylan won a tight semi vs Mark 2-1 and Ed was undone by Jasper Brunn 2-1.
In the best-of-5 final, Dylan took out Jasper 3-0
In the Main KO, Dean and Colin faced off in the first quarter-final where Dean prevailed 2-0. It was a similar story for Cameron and Garry in the 2nd semi where Cameron won 2-0 too.
In the first semi-final Steve and Dean went toe-to-toe in their match. High scores from both players made it a tight match but Steve Groves ground out the win 2-1. In the other semi-final, Cameron scraped over the line first in another tight semi, winning 2-1 vs Paul.
In the final, Cameron gave Steve a game but lost 3-0
With 1 round to go, Steve Groves tops the table with Paul Prince 2nd and Mark Wynn-Smith in 3rd but as the best 4 of 5 rounds count there are a few players on 3 rounds that could change the order going into the final round next month
